Ways in which we discover new photographic content is constantly evolving, even more so true with the power of the internet. Over the past five years many online photography galleries have sprung up due to low start up cost, the alluring possibilities of infinite structure and easier access to a wider audienceā€¦the list goes on. New curators have stepped up to the plate, standing on newly built boxes for their chance to articulate a new perspective on the medium of photography and the world around them. Others are actively working to keep photographic print alive. Niche groups of people are growing in renewed appreciation for the photographic book, yearning for a more traditional output for photography.

Katie Noble spoke with Zach Vitale, photo retoucher and creator of One Tiny Hand. One Tiny Hand is the brain child of Zach Vitale, Bob O'Connor andĀ James Weinberg three creatives working in and around the Boston area. Their website alters photographs of famous celebrities and pop icons by making one hand "tiny". Bizarre and somewhat unsettling, these images generate a good laugh and a breath of fresh air among stale internet content.
