As the Photo Nights Boston team gets ready for the Kickstart Your Wedding Season educational workshop, we wanted to profile the photographers who will be speaking at the event.
We are pleased to introduce Lisa Rigby, a wedding photographer based in Boston. Her easily recognizable photography style helped transition her from a career in communications to full-time wedding photographer within one year of photographing her first wedding. Rangefinder Magazine recently named Lisa as one of the “30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography.” She holds a BFA in Printmaking & MA in Professional Writing from UMass Dartmouth.
With our shared love of photography, Photo Nights Boston and the Robert Klein Gallery thought it was about time for a collaboration. Together, we hosted a cocktail reception at Ars Libri this past Friday. With a few bottles of wine and the Bruce Davidson: Witness exhibit on showcase at Ars Libri, the night was set for a laidback and welcoming reception.
Read More >The other week Photo Nights Boston received a tweet (@PhotoNightsBos) about an upcoming Pinterest photo contest. Curiosity was piqued and after a click or two we were able to get in touch with Alberta Chu of ASKLabs. ASKLabs is a documentary filmmaking company based out of Boston’s South End that focuses on science-based films. With an interest in the intersection of science and art Alberta feels there is “a spark that happens when these two areas come together.” Hence, the creation of Blur Art + Science Pinterest contest.

The event was a huge success, with more than 300 people from Boston's creative industries in attendance and coverage on Boston.com.
